About RRR:

It was produced by DVV Danayya of DVV Entertainment. The film stars NT Rama Rao Jr., Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Shriya Saran, Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody and Olivia Morris.

RRR [B] is a 2022 Telugu Indian language epic action drama directed by SS Rajamouli who co-wrote the film with V Vijayendra Prasad.

It focuses on two real Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju (Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Rama Rao), and their struggle against the British Raj.

Set in 1920, the action explores an unspecified period in his life when the two revolutionaries chose to go into darkness before starting a fight for their country.

The film was officially announced in March 2018. Filming for the film began in Hyderabad in November 2018 and lasted until August 2021 due to the delay caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Rajamouli finds stories about the lives of Rama Raju and Bhima and connects the coincidences between them, imagining what would have happened if they met and were friends.

The film’s soundtrack and background music were composed by MM Keeravani, cinematography by K Senthil Kumar and editing by A Sreekar Prasad. Sabu Cyril is the film’s production designer while V. Srinivas Mohan oversaw the visual effects.

The film was shot extensively across India, with some scenes set in Ukraine and Bulgaria.

The film’s theatrical release was originally scheduled for July 30, 2020, which has been postponed several times due to production delays and the pandemic.

Produced on a budget of £550 million (US$72 million), RRR is the most expensive Indian film of all time.

RRR was released theatrically on March 25, 2022, receiving critical acclaim for the cast’s performances (particularly Rama Rao and Charan), soundtrack, action sequences, cinematography, visual effects, direction, and writing.
