IPC Section 279. What do you mean by section 279 according to Indian penial court the punishment or penalty given under this section are:

Willingly or negligently driving an unsafe vehicle in a public place or endangering the life of others comes under this section.

Shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to three months and with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees, or with both.

What do you mean by unsafe vehicle driving:

Unsafe vehicle means any vehicle which, through the negligent act or omission of the Project Company, creates a dangerous or unsafe condition that causes an unacceptable risk of loss, injury or damage to persons or property (including any part of the system) Presents.

Crime committed:

Willingly or negligently driving an unsafe vehicle in a public place or endangering the life of others comes under this section

Punishment to be received :

Shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to three months and with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees, or with both.

Such crimes are not considered to be very serious crimes, but doing so is a crime by law, so such crimes should not be encouraged. By driving unsafe you put many lives in danger that’s why this is a very serious crime according to Indian penal court.
