Monday = weigh in day.
Today I almost didn’t go, actually there was no almost about it! But after writing a post on the group Facebook wall saying that I couldn’t face it, the fantastic ladies supported and encouraged me and made me feel brave enough to go and I’m glad I did!
The scales were not my friend but that was to be expected after a night out on Friday, a family BBQ on saturday and a Frankie and Benny’s breakfast followed by Afternoon Tea on Sunday.
If I hadn’t have gone to group I know I would have got back on it but the gain would definitely have hung over me for the day, if not a few days! By going to group I was able to face it and draw a line under it. Listening to the others, whilst running around after Mini R who saw it as his own personal playground again, I was able to get inspiration for meals this week that I was excited about and realise that everyone has slip ups. Sometimes life gets in the way, but it doesn’t mean I need to write off the entire thing.
I got home, with a very sleepy son, and I immediately made a crustless quiche….
The easiest thing ever and it was tasty. You just need to mix eggs, fat free cottage cheese, a pasta n sauce (chicken and mushroom or cheese and broccoli) and whatever veg you want – i used pepper, onion and mushroom. Throw it in the over for about 35 minutes – voila! Me and Mini R had it with baked beans. It’s very child friendly and he eat every last bit!
For tea I’ve just enjoyed this….
Two Slimming World burgers (bought from Iceland), one in a wholemeal roll (HEB) with cheese (HEA), lettuce and tomato and slimming world chips! It looked naughty yet was completely on plan and so delicious! I added a tablespoon of No Added Sugar Tomato Ketchup for 0.5 syns.
The new Slimming World magazine is out and I’m looking forward to snuggling up in bed and getting some more motivation from it.
